# As a New Merchant, What Information Will I Need to Complete the Merchant Application?

The merchant application collects basic information about your business and ownership so we can get you set up in our program. Each question has a tooltip (the small info icon next to it) that explains exactly why we're asking and what to enter.

Generally, you can expect to provide:

* Basic business details (legal name, address, tax ID)
* Ownership information
