# Hardships Defined

#### Hardship Programs can be offered to consumers who are needing alternative payment options to their current contract. Each hardship has different requirements that must be met to qualify for that hardship. See below for

## [Due Date Change](/support-tickets-and-contract-changes/hardships/due-date-change)

Consumers may be eligible to change their due date one time during the life of their contract. This may be helpful in situations such as when a consumer's pay date changes.

***

## [Extension](/support-tickets-and-contract-changes/hardships/extension)

Consumers are able to request a one-time extension where in exchange for paying assessed interest and late fees, the consumer will be considered current and their due date pushed to the next month.

***

## [Consecutive Aging](/support-tickets-and-contract-changes/hardships/consecutive-age)

In exchange for making the equivalent of 2 payments within 60 days, a Consecutive Age can be granted to bring the consumer's account current.

***

## [Modification of Terms](/support-tickets-and-contract-changes/hardships/modification-of-terms)

The terms of the consumer's contract may be adjusted to allow for a more affordable monthly payment. For example, this could be adjusting a payment term from 12 months to 24 months.
