Payment Method Validation

UAS allows consumers to use various payment methods to make one-time payments and enroll in AutoPay. In this release, we have enhanced our platform to leverage API and Merchant Services to validate payment methods on entry. This is especially helpful with new originations where a first payment is typically processed over 30 days from origination.

ACH Payment Method: Upon entry of the Bank Routing and Account Number, the information is validated to confirm the routing information and then the account number. Note: Not all Banks participate in this service, so this validation is roughly 80% accurate.

Debit/Credit Card: The consumer selects the type of card and provides the Card Number, Name, Address, and CVV. The information is validated to verify the card type and data. Also, a merchant service is leveraged to verify the card with a $0.00 charge.

If the payment method cannot be validated, the system will not save the method for use. Consumers can contact UAS for support. This is needed for situations like an address not being updated due to a recent move or there is an invalid response from one of the services.

Pending Application Enhancements

The pending application logic has been enhanced to leverage better matching criteria to reduce the number of pending applications for data mismatches.

Setup Your Account Reminder Buttons

When a consumer accesses uPortal360, they will see green buttons on the home page reminding them to complete their account profile and setup. The buttons are:

  1. Setup AutoPay
  2. Opt-In to Text Messages
  3. Verify Email
  4. Enroll in eAlerts
  5. Enroll in Electronic Statements

If the consumer has any of these items set up already, the button will not be displayed.
