This FAQ consolidates the most common setup and new-location questions into one place. Each question links directly, so you can share a specific answer with a colleague.

We’re opening a new location. How do we get it set up with UGA Finance?

New-location setup is handled by the Client Success Team. Contact your Client Success Manager (or the Client Success Team) to begin, and they’ll coordinate the configuration for the new location. Once a location is set up, it’s assigned its own five-character location code, which is used to start applications for that location in the Apply Interface. For adding the location to specific users, see the Account Location Setup and User Management guides (links once published).

As a new merchant, why do I have more than one program?

Merchants are often configured with more than one Finance Program (for example, different program types such as purchasing versus servicing, or different promotional structures), which can appear as separate application paths in uPortal360. This setup provides flexibility by allowing a merchant to support multiple financing options, products, or business needs under the same account. Each program may have its own eligibility requirements, financing terms, promotional offers, or operational purpose. As a result, applicants may be directed to different application experiences depending on the program that best fits their transaction or financing request. Seeing multiple programs in uPortal360 is normal and does not indicate a duplicate account. Instead, it reflects the different financing programs available to your business and ensures that customers and transactions are routed through the appropriate financing solution. If you are unsure which application or program to use, consult your onboarding documentation or contact your program administrator for guidance.

How does a representative start an application for a location?

In the Apply interface, this option is available under Program. Select the location the consumer is applying from. If the merchant is based exclusively in a single location, only that location will be displayed as an available option. Users who are associated with multiple locations may see additional selections reflecting those locations.
