Will consumers receive monthly statements? When does the first one arrive?
Yes. A consumer can receive monthly statements two ways: by USPS mail or by email (E-Statements). The consumer chooses their preferred method at the origination of their contract. A consumer receives a billing statement at least 21 days before their first payment is due. After that, statements continue monthly for the life of the contract.Note: A consumer can also view statements at any time by logging in to uPortal360.
Will consumers receive alerts or notices about their contract?
Yes. During the application, after a consumer is approved, they choose their first payment date, payment option, and their options for electronic statements and alerts. Depending on the method they use to complete the application, they’ll also receive a verification code by email or text message. Throughout the life of the contract, UAS sends required notices about the account, and the consumer can manage their communication preferences in uPortal360.Tip: Because some notices arrive by email, encourage consumers to add UAS to their contacts so messages aren’t filtered as spam. See Help & Contacts for the “add to contacts” resources.
How does a consumer change how they receive statements or alerts?
A consumer manages their statement and alert preferences from their own uPortal360 account. If a consumer needs help updating contact details that affect delivery (such as a changed email or mailing address), a merchant can update contact information on an active loan or submit a Change Consumer Contact Info case. See the Account Management FAQ for how contact updates work. Or the consumer can contact our billing department at 888-233-2302Related articles
