This FAQ consolidates the most common Merchant Application questions into one place. Each question links directly, so you can share a specific answer with a colleague. Where a task has its own full guide, the answer links to it.

What Information Will I Need to Complete the Merchant Application?

The merchant application collects basic information about your business and ownership so we can get you set up in our program. Each question has a tooltip (the small info icon next to it) that explains exactly why we’re asking and what to enter. Generally, you can expect to provide:
  • Basic business details (legal name, address, tax ID)
  • Ownership information
If you get stuck on a specific question, hover over the tooltip for guidance. Still need help? Reach out and we’re happy to walk you through it.

Why Do I See Multiple Applications When I Log In to the Portal?

If your business has more than one location or operates under multiple entities, you might see a separate merchant application for each one. This allows us to handle funding and paperwork correctly for each location. What you can see depends on your role:
  • Company owners typically have access to all accounts under their organization.
  • Location managers will only see the accounts they are specifically associated to.
If something looks off or you need access to a different account, please let us know so we can rectify it.

What is the Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement and why do I need to sign it?

As part of onboarding, you may be asked to review and sign a Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (MNDA). This agreement ensures that confidential information shared between your business and UGA Finance during the financing process is protected for both parties. You can sign directly in the portal or download, print, sign, and upload it manually. Once signed, a copy will be available for you to download for your records. Last reviewed: July 2026
